Database is the first genome contains British pharmacopoeia all medicinal plants of public service platform, integrating with the British pharmacopoeia's product information, species source, genome data storage, molecular recognition, quality differences of British pharmacopoeia and Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China , and other functions,. The users could retrieve and analyse these data in order to promote the rapid development of scientific research and Chinese herbal medicine trade. At present, BSGD (V1.0) has collected 1,529 ITS2 of 62 species, 583 psbA-trnH of 56 species, 69 chloroplast genome of 52 species, the latest nuclear genome data of 15 species, 857 genome second-generation sequencing original data information of 12 species and 2075 transcriptome second-generation sequencing original data information of 31 species.
